“Aleatory means depending on the throw of a die, and it here refers to writing (as well as to the composition of music, sculpture, and painting) achieved by some random means, by leaving things to chance or accident.” (Dictionary of Literary Terms & Literary Theory, pg. 18)

My first "commercial" video lol. Chicago artist Twilla G's CD release celebration at Shadow Bar in Chicago. Still further documentation on the heart and soul of "Ko-Mak"
i try to work on a project daily to practice things i've learned in class...using it before i lose it. mostly to express stuff. i've made a couple of tracks that have been used by local [Chicago] artist, Paps, who happens to be my childhood homie. The songs are titled: "Thang Thang" and "What Ya Think" on his Mixtape T.O.C. I was throwing sounds together from the sound pool in Magix and...he took it from there. They're actually not bad for a newbie like me, and i'm actually honored that he used them. I'll try to find them for you. Here's a video i captured and edited of his performance @ Get On The Front Line with activists/artists Viva Fidel from Milwaukee and Zin from Houston: Paps @ US Beer Co.
now, yeah back to me LOL. i am always working in Premiere or Final Cut; Corel or Photoshop; and i've yet to find an affordable music program...my pc with all the good stuff conked out. Listen1 is old. most times i'm not thinking of RAP when i throw sounds together. i am like forcing sounds out. Listen1 was put together before i knew what ProTools was. I don't know what i was thinking about lol, but i was trying to mix, have sounds in the background and foreground, just jivin....that's it, up there at the top lol
as with painting...forcing images out.
i painted the project below in about two days, i'm not sure if its done...but i just tweek with it, until i get tired. i am actually building up the color myself...in the original...touching on my challenges: perspective, light and shadows. i don't know why i see stuff in reverse..but anywho this is my first try.
and when i got tired but the mind was still ticking i tried a woodcut effect on the digital paint.
Corel Painter, 4Layers, by Koren D. MadPeace
i guess it's my intent to keep pushing work out until i reach Nirvana LOL...seriously, this creative burst i'm dealing with is leading up to something...what...not sure yet. Don't be afraid to talk to me. tell me what you think. but keep in mind, im sensitive about my shit! lol...meaning critiques are welcome...PBS "I'm ready to Learn!" 1luv.
Welcome to my artsy fartsy blog. i am a genius in training. bear with me while i learn some HTML to spicey up this visual explosion of cancerian pleasures. if you happen to be blessed and highly favored to know some cancers, then you are forewarned that this blog will contain somma any and erthing.
lately i have been consumed with the images in my brain. and sometimes when i can't find words i try lines. i'm new to painting and designing with my hands, however, i've been a student and fan for many many many years. i am looking forward to connecting with other artists of any genre and you know...just a good build period...feel free to make yaself @ home and to express yaself. 1love~Koren D. This first project was done in Corel Painter Essentials....i was googling faces and found an image of a young person, probably from di motherland. the face was amazing, the color was brilliant and so....
